Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actress singer and writer. She was raised by her mom within the USA. Raised with racial remarks and being made to feel unwelcome. When she attended a 9th grade school audition, where she was praised for her singing as she built confidence. This not only increased her confidence but her ambitions changed. In 1992 she graduated with her diploma from the New York's Julliard School. She began her career when she was 23 years old, appearing in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and The You've Got Mail film. Her biggest break came with her performance as The Lady of The Lake, in the original Broadway version of Spamalot. The show won her the Tony Award and received great appreciation for her performance. Later in the same year she joined the ABC series Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider appreciation for her performance. She is known as a performer and released her own single and an extended version of her play. She is an activist who works tirelessly to promote LGBT equality.
